And whilst I am talking Bead Society I put a necklace into the Members Exhibition. Down the Garden Path. The netted piece is embellished with a profusion of flowers...... took months. A complete labor of love
Had a phone call to say that prizes had been awarded and mine was second. Wow is all I can say. And thank you to Kate McKinnon for the wonderfully clever clasp which spread the weight and finished it superbly

Am having an attack of the must do mores. Inspired by two days at the Melbourne Bead Society Expo. The only event I know where no-one looks at your face but all eyes are on the chest. So lots of seed beads were purchased and gorgeous Czech Charlotte's from Beadglass, all sparkly and just begging to be made into something special.
So I have an embellished netted rope underway. The loom is set up ready to go and I am reading through the design for Jean Power's geometric stars.... thinking reds and black and a little flash of gold.

The Kiss

I have always loved Klimt paintings, so intricate. This gorgeous cabachon had been sitting on a beading mat for ages and no matter how many color combinations I tried nothing worked. Going through my stash I found a box of vintage cabs, one of my first purchases from Etsy and perfection.

Being a complete novice at this thing called Blog, I am impressed that I have got this far. So if anyone does stop by it won't be a complete blank. Now to work out how to post pictures, how to add Blogs I follow etc etc.
